Erica Willingham, Real Estate Executive
Erica’s real estate career started, inadvertently, when she was in high school. Her dad used to make me work in his real estate office, O’Neil & Company, in Colorado over the summers. While Erica’s friends were out having fun, she was “stuck” in the office learning how compare properties, color code maps depending on what minerals and soil types were there and doing other odd jobs he created for her. She wondered, “what was the point?” Erica wanted to go to the lake like everybody else! Little did she know that the foundation was being laid for a career that would later realize was truly her passion!
Erica attended Arizona State University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. And worked in the industry for a short period of time realizing that career was not for her. A few years later she married and decided to go back to school for a Master’s Degree in organizational management. During this time two of her three children were born; one at the beginning of her program, and one at the end.
She stayed home to raise her family and decided real estate school sounded like the perfect way to be with her young children full time while contributing to the household financially. So, I went to school at the Arizona School of Real Estate, earned my license, and another birth certificate!
Erica says, “I have been so lucky to work in a field I love. It is an industry that is consistently changing and very challenging. It is very gratifying knowing that I make a difference for my clients, making them feel comfortable through the entire, sometimes intimidating, real estate transaction. I love what I do and truly care about doing an exceptional job for my clients!”
